The Guardian Angel Store is pleased to announce that they are now distributors of the Little Rose Designs™ Christ in Christmas Collection © 2009. The collection uses the art of design to display messages that emphasize the reason for the Christmas season.
Through the art of design, "Happy Holidays" is turned into "Happy Holydays." "Merry Christmas" is turned into a message of "Me + Christ" to emphasize Christ with us in Christmas. The T-shirt designer said, “Every year, as Christmas nears, we find an increasing secularization of Christmas. My T-shirt designs are meant to keep our focus of Christ in Christmas.”
When asked about how she came up with the idea, the designer related, “The idea for the designs started with a cross stitch project I was working on. I had set my work down to take a break, but when I came back and picked up my work, I saw that I had completed the letters 'ME' of 'Merry' and the letters 'CHRIST' of the the word 'Christmas.' I thought for a moment about the message at which I was looking. It struck me, 'Me and Christ' in Christmas.”
The designer continued, “I also saw something similar with 'Happy Holidays.' I remember getting so frustrated that people in the big box stores would only say 'happy holidays,' but never 'Merry Christmas' as a greeting during the season. I wanted some way to help remind people as to the true reason that we celebrate the season. It dawned on me that through the art of design, I could turn the words 'Happy Holidays' into 'Happy Holydays.' It was a way of sending a subtle message so that we do not forget that the days of Christmas are the holy days we reserve for celebrating the birth of Christ.”
The Little Rose Designs™ Christ in Christmas T-shirt messages are silk screened on red, blue or green 100% cotton preshrunk shirts in both adult and children sizes.
