Jesus ascended to heaven after His sacrifice so that the sins of all mankind may be forgiven. In this selfless act, He created a new beginning, a new testament, a new covenant. Still, the choice to live for the grace, mercy and forgiveness of the Lord is within each of us. The resurrection is a new beginning, and with each moment that passes before or since, we face the choice of following or stepping away from the path of the Lord.
With Christ's death and resurrection, the hand of the Lord is outstretched to us in forgiveness of our sins so that we may follow Him. As we remember the sacrifice of Jesus and His resurrection as a sign of new promise and hope, we should ask ourselves if we are ready for a new day, following in the life of the Lord.
With the changes of the season, some things pass and some things begin. As we pass through darkness, our faith is challenged. As we pass through light, we have an opportunity to strengthen our faith. Do we prefer darkness or do we prefer light?
As we remember the resurrection, life's new hope; we are thankful for a passing pain and a new opportunity for a fruitful life. May the potential of each generation of my family be fulfilled in the grace, the mercy, the glory and the forgiveness of the Lord. It is right for all the generations to give our Lord thanks and praise.
Dear Lord, you have blessed me with good children and blessed the children of my children. I pray, stay with them, help them and guide them to remain strong in their faith. Bless them with Your never ending spirit of goodness and holiness. Protect them from the temptations of the world and the unholiness of the evil one. Embrace them with Your blessings, for if my children and their children and all the generations yet to come, know Your Love, Your grace, Your mercy and Your peace; what more could I ask?
Dearest Mary, Mother of God, pray with me that the sins and pain of my family be forgiven and forever healed. Pray with me so that evil is brushed from us that we may fulfill the will of the Lord. Dear Mary, pray with me that we do not become mired in the conflicts of each day, but we seek the opportunity to set that which pains us aside and replace it with the desire and energy to help and provide comfort to others.
Dear Mary, pray with me, for I know your Son will hear you. Praise be to God. Amen.
