Many blessings to all,
Our society often measures wealth in terms of money or material things, but wealth is relative to what we have and what we need. The richest of people are not necessarily the wealthiest and the most destitute of people are not necessarily the poorest. This means that those with little means may have more value to give than one who appears to want for nothing.
As we were placed upon this world, God has given each of us gifts. The question is whether we understand for what purpose in which they were received and for what purpose they are intended to be used? We may witness what others may have, but we may not witness the emptiness which comes through that which is only of this world. We must be careful for what we aspire for as we receive it, we may find it diverts us from what truly matters, what truly fulfills. We may think we are blessed with many things, but many things may weigh us down, blinding us to what will bring us to eternal life.
True wealth is not found in what we can count, but that through which we grow in spirit and through which we are able to fulfill the needs of others. Though our bodies require that which is physical, our greatest need is that which feeds our spirit; caring is the path, love is the way. Blessed are those who have little at hand, and yet, have everything from which to nourish the soul.
May the Lord be with you,
Prayer Soldier
