In Prayer to the Lord

Many blessings to all,

In prayer we raise our hopes to the Lord. In prayer we petition what we believe to be our needs. As each day passes and we do not see His answer, we may not always understand His plan or the time in which He will answer our prayer. In the time of the Lord, He knows our every need; our true needs for the salvation of our soul.

We do not always understand that which passes before us, we do not always understand that which surrounds us, we do not always understand that which happens to us, we do not always understand that which happens to those we love, we do not always understand so much of this world, but the Lord always hears the call of the faithful, the prayer of the children of His creation. He hears our every word, He feels our every thought, He knows what is deep in our heart, He knows the recesses of our soul.

While He knows the number of every hair on our head, it is through prayer that we draw closer to Him. We may study His Word, but it is through prayer that we are guided to see through false prophets, it is through prayer that we find a deeper and deeper relation with the Lord. We should not simply pray for our petitions, rather we should pray that with each passing moment we are brought close and closer to Him, that our faith is nourished, that we learn what we can do to perform according to His calling.
