Many blessings to all,
The church was over flowing with those reflecting on the moments of a man nailed to a cross. The assembly was solemn and silent, thinking of the sacrifice made for their sins. The only sounds which could be heard were shuffling feet. Tears where shed by women and men alike. Heads were bowed as hands touched the cross, kisses were rendered on the wood in respect, sorrow filled the room. As the evening progressed and all had rendered respects, the bread of life was offered so those filled with sorrow would know joy.
I heard the gentle voice of a woman speak, barely breaking the silence, “The body of Christ.” Many times I heard the declaration. Many times I heard the response, “Amen.” The emotion that filled the church was so very strong, reflecting on events of many years past, knowing what He did was for all of our sins, knowing that it was not just the hands of the people then, but those to follow, those now and those who are still to come until the final days.
We might cry, how could they have done this to our Lord; but it was His plan, He knew all which was to come, He offered Himself as the example of deepest love, the true example that no greater love can there be than for one to lay down their life for their friends. He laid down His life for us, in love for all his children, that if they believe in Him, they shall not perish, but they will have everlasting life in His kingdom. He died and rose to conquer death, so that all of His children might live with Him, and yet, after all He has done, it will be our choice.
Blessed are they who seek Him, for through His sacrifice, forgiveness is theirs. Blessed are we that we may be saved through His grace and mercy. Our sorrow is the sacrifice which was necessary for us, our tears are for His pain, our joy is that through His resurrection, He lives so we may all be saved. The moment has passed, yet, it will be forever with us, our salvation, as it was then, is now and ever shall be.
May we all offer prayers in praise of the Lord. May we all offer prayers of thanks for the forgiveness and salvation He has offered to all His children.
May the Lord be with you,
Prayer Soldier
