Many blessings to all,
There is that which is of the body and that which is of the soul. We value our physical health, but what value do we place upon the health of our soul? Jesus healed the sick, the blind and the lame; but the healing He offered often came at the request of those who approached Him in faith. He often told them, “Your faith has healed you.”
As our body ages, it will eventually fail for we are created to pass from this world. What we do for the body, then, is temporary; what we do for the soul is for eternity. We must care for the body so that we may fulfill our purpose in this world, but we must also care for the soul so that we are prepared for what is to come.
Should we suffer infirmities, it is right to pray, but we should remember it is better to suffer the pains of this world than to lose our soul to darkness. When we seek healing, it is best to first seek healing of the soul.
A simple prayer: Dear Lord, we pray for the sick and afflicted that they may be healed.
A simple prayer: Dear Lord, we pray for the families and loved ones of the afflicted. Comfort them in their moment of distress.
A simple prayer: Dear Lord, we pray for the care givers, that they may be granted strength and endurance so they may bring comfort and hope to those in need.
A simple prayer: Dear Lord, we pray for the nurse, that as they provide comfort and care, You guide them in their work.
A simple prayer: Dear Lord, we pray for the surgeon and the physician, that they remain true to their oath of medicine to help, heal and do no harm.
A simple prayer: Dear Lord, we pray for the policeman, fireman and emergency medical technician, that in their response to injury and tragedy, their hands may be steady and fulfill Your will.
A simple prayer: Dear Lord, You died to conquer death. You died so that our sins may be forgiven. While we may suffer infirmity in this world, we pray for the healing of all souls so that not even one of Your children is lost.
In the name of Jesus we pray, Amen.
“A woman suffering hemorrhages for twelve years came up behind him and touched the tassel 15 on his cloak. She said to herself, “If only I can touch his cloak, I shall be cured.” Jesus turned around and saw her, and said, “Courage, daughter! Your faith has saved you.” And from that hour the woman was cured.” Matthew 9:20-22
May the Lord be with you always,
Prayer Soldier
