Evolution
The concept of evolution was explained to me. Take for example the evolution of vehicles, trains, and air craft. Their evolution started with the wheel, axel, and platform. By combining these three components; a cart was born that could be used to carry and move things. In its first stages of existance, the cart was pushed or pulled by people.
The means evolved to harness beasts of burden. As harnesses and reigns came into being, the power of the beasts was used to move the carts and their loads. With this evolution of power, the carts evolved to wagons. As teams of animals could be harnessed as power for these early vehicles, the carts and wagons became larger and more versatile. Chariots, for example, came into being to speed soldiers into battle. Wagons evolved to different sizes to carry various volumes of load.
As years passed; steam engines, much more powerful than beasts of burden, evolved that could be used to power the wagons. With this new power, the wagons evolved to automobiles and trains. Then combustion engines evolved in different forms and sizes so that automobiles could take even more shapes. Some were small and speedy while others were large and able to carry heavy things. Vans, trucks and busses came into being; a vehicle for every purpose under the sun and into the night.
But the vehicles were not to be limited to the ground. Wings evolved that in combination with the engines could be used to lift the platforms into the air. Planes, at first, could only carry a small payload, but as the wings and engines evolved, they became able to carry very large amounts.
The example was very complete. Over thousands of years, the wheel, axel, and platform evolved into carts, wagons, chariots, trains, bicycles, unicycles, roller skates, skate boards, sports cars, sedans, station wagons, motorcycles, vans, planes, helicopters, jets, jumbo jets; vehicles of all different sizes, models, and colors. The evolution took time, and how long it was from the first wheel to the first jumbo jet is unknown. It is not a matter of recorded history. One can only speculate.
Of course, the concept of such evolution was easily understood by me, but there was a question that suddenly sprung to mind. “What caused the wheel, axel and platform to form together? Did it just happen by accident? Was it a mere fluke of the combination of elements that resulted in the first cart?”
“Of course not,” was the answer. The wheel, axel, and platform were creations from man’s intellect. With this answer, I was forced to ponder this example of evolution. Now the question became, if something as simple as a wheel, axel, and platform required intelligence for their creation and combination, and form; how is it then that something as complex as man and all the life of the world were simply the result of a mere accident of a combination of elements that suddenly formed life? How is it that such a world could form into existence without intelligence behind its design?
I heard a wise man once remark that he converted from being an atheist because he came to realize that it took more faith to believe our world was a mere accident of evolution than the result of God’s design.
"Where were you when I laid the foundation of the earth? Tell Me, if you have understanding, (Job 38:4)
Immediately Jesus reached out his hand and caught him. "You of little faith," he said, "why did you doubt?" (Mathew 14:31)

You are right on with your explanation. I think that all the things of our world have had some form of evolution. As technology grows and our knowledge is exploding, the tools of our lives become better and better each day.
I believe that human beings have evolved also. I am part my father and part my mother and part of their parents etc.... BUT, I do not think that DNA is crossed between species and thus humans and dogs, cats, elephants, monkeys are related ONLY because they are all mammals. My evolutionary process came from God's creation of man. As a result, I am many parts---Irish, Scotch, Dutch, Yugoslavian, American Indian. I am not cat, dog, or monkey.
