Anonymous writes "Benedict XVI received Kiko Argüello, a founder of the Neocatechumenal Way, in private audience Saturday, reported the Vatican press office.
Argüello participated as an auditor in the recent Synod of Bishops on the Eucharist.
On Oct. 12, the Pope blessed the cornerstone of the future premises of the Redemptoris Mater international diocesan seminary of Sydney, Australia. The seminary is inspired by Neocatechumenate spirituality.
The Neocatechumenal Way, whose statutes were approved by the Holy See in 2002, is a means of Christian initiation for the rediscovery of baptism and for continuing education in the faith.
It is present in 900 dioceses worldwide. At least 1,500 seminarians have arisen from its communities, and more than 1,000 priests have already been ordained."
