Anonymous writes "The Assumption of Mary is a feast that all Catholics should celebrate. We should celebrate this feast day with much joy because, God gave His only Begotten Son through the womb of a Virgin. This Virgin, Mary, after completed her heavenly life, was taken up to Heaven, by God's own grace. This is not the same as the Ascension...where Jesus ascended into heaven by His own power. The Assumption states that Mary was taken up to heaven by God, not of her own power.
This is such a broad feast day that nothing in here will do it justice. But suffice it to say, that what God has done to Mary in bringing her body and soul into Heaven, He hopes to do with us, just as long as we do His Will. Let us then be strongly devoted to Mary so we can have the joy of being in Heaven with her and the Holy Trinity, forever.
Amen."
