To all who see these words, may the peace of God be with you;

Prayers to Cultivate the Good Seeds Within Our Hearts

Let us pray that He will help us to tend to the soil of our soul. Heavenly Father, the evil one seeks to sow within us the cockle which chokes the field. We pray You will help us to remove such sprouts before they take root and guide us in how we may cultivate only that which yields the good fruits of the heart. We ask this through our Lord Jesus Christ, Your Son, who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, one God forever and ever. Amen.

Dear Lord, we lift up our hearts in sorrow for the ways we have offended you.

Dear Lord, we pray in thanks and praise for Your great mercy.

Dear Lord, we pray the Holy Spirit will guide us and help us tend to our choices.

Dear Lord, we pray You will raise up for us leaders of communities and nations who will encourage the people in all which is right and just.

Dear Lord, we pray You will guide parents in how they may teach their children the blessings of Your Holy Word.

Dear Lord, we pray You will help us to water and cultivate within us the seeds of all goodness.

Dear Lord we pray You will help us to tend to the fields of our hearts so we may bear the good fruits of the soul.

For these and the prayers in the hearts of all the faithful, we pray in the name of Your Son, our Lord and Savior, Amen.

Let us pray that as we travel our daily journey, we may see and remove the weeds which endanger the fields of our soul. Heavenly Father, You have revealed to us that the ground left untended, where weeds are allowed to flourish, cannot produce the bounty of the tended ground where only the seeds of the good harvest are planted and the sprouts of bad seed are removed before they may take root. We pray You will help us to see how we may best tend to the soil of our hearts so that no weed of evil is allowed to grow within us. We ask this through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
