Saddness of Sin - the Hope of Forgiveness

We all have sin behind us. It is the condition of our spirit when we are without God.

How often do we stand somewhere outside the circle of God, not worthy in what we do and what we fail to do? I remain in the sadness of my sins, unworthy in my inability to live completely in the word of God.

I pray to the Lord, â€œLord, I am not worthy to receive you, but only say the word and I shall be healed.â€ This I pray, but do I hear God's response? Do my sins prevent me from hearing God's call, from feeling his Love? Is it my choice that keeps me deaf to the gentle voice of God?

Lord, help me step away from my sin and fall into the warm embrace of your spirit. Help me walk away from the temptations of the world, the emptiness of sin so that I may exist in the fullness of your peace and Love?

Dear Lord, help me to understand your purpose for me. Help me to understand your call.

Perhaps I have served Your purpose in ways I do not understand. Perhaps Your moment for me is still to come. Help me to understand Your will and what I am to do to fulfill your plan.

I am a sinner and a victim of myself. I am weak and sad that I continue to sin when I know the dangers to my soul.

Dear Lord, it is Your forgiveness that is my only hope for salvation. It is your forgiveness that is the salvation of the world. Lord, I'm not worthy to receive you, but only say the word and I shall be healed.
