Many blessings to all,
Pondering the gifts God grants to each of us. We often think of our quality of life in terms of what we may not have, but perhaps we should wonder if what we don\'t have may be a gift unto itself? When we think we are unable to do something because of what we miss, perhaps, instead we should think more in terms of what we might do with what we have. We might be surprised that if we have the desire, if we have the faith, we can do more than we ever thought we could. Perhaps, through the power of faith, we might find ourselves with the courage and blessings of this man. http://tinyurl.com/yzvkr76
“Amen, I say to you, if you have faith the size of a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, \'Move from here to there,\' and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.\" Matthew 17:20
We might think we do not have anything to share, but we all have a talent to share. By ourselves, we cannot do all things. By ourselves we may only be able to do one thing. By ourselves we cannot save the world, but we are never alone for God is with us and He has given us one another through which we may combine our gifts to do great things.
“There are different kinds of spiritual gifts but the same Spirit; there are different forms of service but the same Lord; there are different workings but the same God who produces all of them in everyone. To each individual the manifestation of the Spirit is given for some benefit. To one is given through the Spirit the expression of wisdom; to another the expression of knowledge according to the same Spirit; to another faith by the same Spirit; to another gifts of healing by the one Spirit; to another mighty deeds; to another prophecy; to another discernment of spirits; to another varieties of tongues; to another interpretation of tongues. But one and the same Spirit produces all of these, distributing them individually to each person as he wishes. As a body is one though it has many parts, and all the parts of the body, though many, are one body, so also Christ.” 1 Corinthians 12:4-12
If we are uncertain in our gifts, we can ask Him in prayer what he desires of us. If we are uncertain in our gifts, we can ask in prayer for the wisdom to do His work. If we are uncertain in our gifts, we can ask Him in prayer for the strength to do His work. If we are uncertain in our gifts, we can ask Him in prayer for the courage to do His work. If we are uncertain in our gifts, we can ask Him in prayer for the help of others; all we need is faith; faith to do His will, faith to live in the Word of the Lord.
Today, let us ask ourselves what gifts we may use in the service of the Lord.
May the Lord be with you,
Prayer Soldier
