How often do we hear the stories of the rich and famous? While we may wish for our own wealth and position of celebrity, how is it that so many who appear to have the whole world are ruining their lives with drugs, risky behavior or find themselves in trouble with the law or the center of controversy? How is that those who have no financial cares, who are so popular in society, must seek the care of therapists? It is because they are missing something in their lives. It is because they are missing the relationship which truly nourishes, not the desires of this world, but the needs of the soul. As we build our relationship with God, we begin to see the insignificance of the desires of man.
Dear Lord, we pray that You send the Holy Spirit to guide us in the performance of Your will.
Dear Lord, we pray for wisdom and understanding to know for what purpose we should use the gifts You grant us so that we may care for others.
Dear Lord, we pray for your guidance that we may live together in the light of Your love.
Dear Lord, we pray for Your guidance that we are responsible stewards of the gifts to which you grant us to perform Your will.
Dear Lord, we pray for the strength to turn from our sin so that we may better fulfill Your Word.
Dear Lord, we thank you for that which you provide us to meet our daily needs.
Dear Lord, we thank you for those You bring into our lives to help us through our trials and tribulations. Bless them for what they do in Your name.
In the name of Jesus we pray. Amen.
No one can serve two masters. He will either hate one and love the other, or be devoted to one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and mammon. Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat (or drink), or about your body, what you will wear. .......Can any of you by worrying add a single moment to your life-span? (Matthew 6:24-25, 27)
May the Lord be with you always,
Prayer Soldier
