For you are our father, and Abraham has not known us, and Israel has been ignorant of us: you, O Lord, are our father, our redeemer, from everlasting is your name. Why have you made us to err, O Lord, from your ways: why have you hardened our heart, that we should not fear you? Return for the sake of your servants, the tribes of your inheritance.
They would melt as at the burning of fire, the waters would burn with fire, that your name might be made known to your enemies: that the nations might tremble at your presence. When you shall do wonderful things, we shall not bear them: you came down, and at your presence the mountains melted away. From the beginning of the world they have not heard, nor perceived with the ears: the eye has not seen, O God, besides you, what things you have prepared for them that wait for you.
You have met him that rejoices, and does justice: in your ways they shall remember you: behold you are angry, and we have sinned: in them we have been always, and we shall be saved. And we are all become as one unclean, and all our justices as an unclean rag: and we have all fallen as a leaf, and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away. There is none that calls upon your name: that rises up, and takes hold of you: you have hidden your face from us, and have crushed us in the hand of our iniquity. ( Isaiah 63:16-17; 64:2-7 )
Grace to you, and peace from God our Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ. I give thanks to my God always for you, for the grace of God that is given you in Christ Jesus, That in all things you are made rich in him, in all utterance, and in all knowledge; As the testimony of Christ was confirmed in you, So that nothing is wanting to you in any grace, waiting for the manifestation of our Lord Jesus Christ. Who also will confirm you unto the end without crime, in the day of the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. God is faithful: by whom you are called unto the fellowship of his Son Jesus Christ our Lord. ( 1 Corinthians 1:3-9 )
Be on guard. Be alert. You do not know when that time will come. It?s like a man going away: He leaves his house and puts his servants in charge, each with his assigned task, and tells the one at the door to keep watch. Therefore keep watch because you do not know when the owner of the house will come back?whether in the evening, or at midnight, or when the rooster crows, or at dawn. If he comes suddenly, do not let him find you sleeping. What I say to you, I say to everyone: Watch. ( Mark 13:33-37 )
We see what is before us, but we do not understand the greatness of what we do not see. The power of the Lord is beyond what we can conceive. Only He can see what was, what is and what ever will be throughout the eternity of time. We know our moments now, we perceive what we may remember and what others have told us of what they remember, but only He remembers all.
Some tribes of old have been blessed through their faith. Some tribes of old have fallen to destruction because of their lack of faith, for no matter how powerful they become, there is always One who is more powerful. These are the lessons before us, the lessons of generations past. Well should we listen, well should we observe, for He makes known the path to eternal peace and seeks to lead us away from the path to everlasting anguish.
It should all be clear to us, but deception surrounds us. Through selfish desires we allow ourselves to be led astray. As it was for our forefathers, it is now for us. Though the sun shines just the same, the night cannot be stopped nor the day to come.
We have not looked at the generations before us in the eye, but their lessons we still should learn, for if we do not, misery will be our lot and darkness will be our eternity. Some before us turned their back on our Lord. Let us learn from them less we face the same abyss as they. Some have kept their faith with God. Let us learn from them so that we may receive the same blessings as they.
Woe to the tribes and nations who stray from the Lord, for no dynasty can stand if it does not have the favor of God. Some may grow drunk with the abuse of the power they perceive, but all oppressors eventually fall, all who abuse the children of the creation of God shall be held to account, all who deceive shall be revealed for their deceptions, all that is gained will be lost for He will not allow any to retain ill gotten gain; the hour will come when what was taken unjustly will be taken away by the just and all powerful Lord.
It is folly that some believe that they will find peace in the ways of the world, for there is nothing here which will remain forever. Only in the Word will we find the peace of eternity, the peace of the love given to us by God, peace we gain through love of one another which He asks of us. The faithful need not fear, for though they may have sinned, He will forgive those who seek redemption.
Blessed are those who learn the ways of the commandments to love, for they bring comfort to those who suffer, they bring help to those in need, they bring joy to those in sorrow; through their works of selflessness, charity and love, all benefit and all is pleasing in the eyes of the Lord. As we care for the children of His creation, He is in us along with the blessings He brings which enrich our hearts and makes right our souls. In prayer, we should offer thanks and praise for the blessings of love to which He encourages all of His children.
There was a time He walked among us, but He has always walked with us. Blessed are we for He will come to us again. We will not know the hour, but in that time, He will ask all to explain for what they have devoted the gifts He has granted. We all are called to a task of His work. He gives each of us a time to respond. The decision is ours as to what we do, but a day will come where He will give us the measure earned from our choice.
We should not seek a reflection of this world as to which path we should choose. We may be tempted to believe that joy may be found in inanimate things, things without a soul, things which will rot and pass away. We fail to understand that whatever we gain in the moment will turn to nothing unless it comes from Him for only He can provide that which is eternal.
May the peace and blessings of the Lord be with you always,
Prayer Soldier
