Many blessings to all,
Our lives are filled with many traps where we may find ourselves ensnared, but when we include God in our lives, He becomes our path to true freedom. As He fills our hearts, the pain of the day is somehow less. As he fills our lives, moments of sorrow are soon to pass. As He fills our souls, we are filled with the power of the Holy Spirit and our problems of this world are suddenly diminished.
Jesus told us “Amen, amen, I say to you, everyone who commits sin is a slave of sin.” John 8:34. True freedom, then, is found through our belief in Him and if we truly believe in Him, then we believe in His Word. If we believe in His Word, then, we are guided to live in the Word. As we live in the Word, we are guided away from that which enslaves us.
When we immerse ourselves in His word, we change our focus from self. Our joy is found in love and love is found in service of others and the fulfillment of the will of God. As we follow His commandment to love one another, that which would oppress us loses its power over us; we take the wind out of the sails of evil. Though we may endure many trials and tribulations of this world, as we find Him, the joy of our soul eclipses all pain and suffering. In that moment, we are truly set free.
