Many blessings to all,
What we experience in this world is partially what we make of it and partially what is made by others. God has given us all the wonders of the world, but he has left us to be stewards of His work. He has given us the commandments by which we may live a blessed life, but we should also know that as we live in opposition to what He has asked of us, in what we do and what we fail to do, we create our own strife.
We might raise the question, but what about the natural forces which challenge our existence? The work of God is mysterious to what we may understand, but to everything there is a purpose under the sun. In calamity we are invited to charity, in adversity, we are bound together, for apart, we cannot fulfill the greatest of commandments, which is to love God and to love one another.
Each day holds many blessings for us, each day may also hold many challenges. We must be thankful for the blessings and trust He will guide us through the challenges. Will you join me in these prayers of thanks for His blessings and petitions for His help?
A simple prayer: Dear Lord, thank you for the beauty with which you have surrounded us.
A simple prayer: Dear Lord, thank You for all the gifts you have given me today. Even the simplest are so amazing.
A simple prayer: Dear Lord, You called us to love as You love us. Help us to understand this extends to our children not yet born.
A simple prayer: Dear Lord, we pray for those out of work, those farmers who face the challenges of weather, that they are provided what they need to fulfill their service to others.
A simple prayer: Dear Lord, we thank you for the brave souls You have sent to defend our land.
A simple prayer: Dear Lord, we pray for our military and all who face danger to preserve our freedom. We ask for their protection.
A simple prayer: Dear Lord, we pray for the sick, the poor and all souls in need. We ask for Your healing hand to guide us.
In the name of Jesus we pray, Amen.
