Many blessings to all,
What does faith mean to us? It has sustained those who have faced great troubles and hardship. It has sustained the oppressed and the persecuted. It has sustained those who have faced great adversity. It has sustained those who have faced insurmountable odds. It has sustained those in great mourning. It has sustained those who face great hunger.
Faith is what makes the merciful, the clean of heart, the peacemakers; for they do the work of God. Faith has made great leaders and is the common bond with those who follow in righteousness and desire to do the work of the Lord.
Faith gives strength. Faith gives endurance. Faith gives us the capability to do that which others say cannot be done. Faith is the refuge of martyrs and those who otherwise would not have hope. What then does faith mean to us? If we do not know, prayer will help us learn; prayer will help us sustain and grow our faith.
A simple prayer: Dear Lord, You sustain me, You bolster my heart; through You all things are possible. I thank You for always walking beside me.
A simple prayer: Dear Lord, grant me the strength of the Holy Spirit so that my faith will not waiver despite all the attacks of the world and the evil one.
A simple prayer: Dear Lord, it is through Your love true faith is found; blessed am I in the warmth of Your love.
A simple prayer: Dear Lord, we pray that you extend your protective hand over the faithful that they may not be deceived by the wiles of the evil one.
A simple prayer: Dear Lord, sustain all of us who struggle with sin, that through faith in You we find the path such that we are able to turn from our weakness and leave our sin behind.
A simple prayer: Dear Lord, grant us the wisdom to know how to grow the numbers of Your faithful.
A simple prayer: Dear Lord, we pray that You guide Your children to each other that we may find strength in faith and community.
In the name of Jesus we pray, Amen.
“Amen, I say to you, if you have faith the size of a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, --Move from here to there,-- and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.” (Matthew 17:20)
