Many blessings to all,
As a Delta Airlines flight attendant finished her safety briefing to passengers on a flight getting ready to leave Memphis for Denver, she continued, “I just wanted to mention that today is Veterans\' Day and to the veterans on this flight, thank you for your service.”
It was a nice gesture from the Delta Hostess, but what was sure to fill the hearts of the veterans on the flight is what happened next. As the Delta attendant concluded her announcement, those on the plane gave a robust and sustained applause.
Those who registered their appreciation for those who serve and have served in the defense of freedom reflect the strength and character of America. May God continue to bless America with freedom, as one nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.
Thank you Delta Airlines for recognizing our veterans and many thanks for those on the flight who so spontaneously expressed their appreciation for the defenders of freedom. Your demonstration filled the heart of at least one veteran and more than likely several who were on that flight.
For the veterans who were not there for this event, may it serve as but one example that you serve and have served a grateful nation.
