Casa Ursulina Scarves -- Purple

Casa Ursulina, a ministry of the Ursuline Sisters of Mount Saint Joseph (Kentucky), is a network of women and men who work together to empower and support the women of the community of Chillan, Chile. Casa Ursulina offers a number of services, among them workshops and classes that provide marketable skills, to low-income women in the community. More than 70 percent of the women served by Casa Ursulina are mothers raising their children alone and unable to find work. These gorgeous scarves are hand woven by women trained in spinning and weaving courses. Variegated 100% acrylic yarns in beautiful colors and textures are combined to create these elegant accessories. Each scarf comes with a pamphlet that tells the remarkable story of Casa Ursulina. Scarves measure approx. 9" wide x 68" long.
