Fifty Ways to Leave LEFT BEHIND
Seeing Exodus as the Pattern for Understanding Revelation
by Roger Snow
I've questioned the "left behind" position for a long time, but this book helped to push me over the edge. It is an eye-opening comparison of Exodus and Revelation. Some things are obvious such as comparing "The Lamb that was slain" in Revelation, to the Passover Lamb in Exodus, but there are other things that aren't quite so obvious, like the comparison between all of the plagues in Exodus with the seals, trumpets, and bowls in Revelation. There are at least fifty such comparisons!
The most important thing, I think, is how the author makes it a point to show that Exodus is an Old Testament picture of Revelation. It is God's rescue of His people in dramatic fashion. Especially helpful to me was the question and answer section at the end of the book. As you read the book, you will definitely have some questions that you want the author to answer and I believe he does a good job answering those questions.
If you have ever questioned the "left-behind" end times position, which I'm sure many of you have, then you need to read this book. If you haven't ever questioned, then you still need to read this book. I believe it can turn your viewpoint upside-down using a completely biblical approach.
