"When you go through deep waters, I will be with you." Isaiah 43:2
"One day I will wipe away every tear from your eyes." Revelation 21:3-4
"But the Lord stood with me and gave strength." 2 Timothy 4:17
These are the few quotes that always comes to mind. I had been in a very critical situation for a few months. But now due to the grace of God, everything is fine. My dad was a very healthy person. He worked in a bank for 33 years and got retired as the manager. After his retirement, he turned very lazy. He never used to exercise and take care of his health. Whenever we ask him anything he replies, "I have worked for these many years, and now its time for me to rest". Although we compel him to exercise, he never obeys it. At times he used to say that he finds it difficult to walk and has trouble in seeing. But we never took it seriously and scolded him saying it was all because of not exercising.
Suddenly, one day, while walking to the church he fell down. We took him to the hospital immediately. After diagnosing him, the doctor said that his left side was completely paralyzed because of the stroke. The trouble with walking, seeing and speaking were all the symptoms of this. It was a real shock to us. We had no idea on what to do. We prayed a lot to the Lord Almighty to bring him back to his normal health. Without wasting any time, we started the treatment. In two weeks time, we felt the strong presence of God in our lives. He was discharged from the hospital and taken back home.
One of our friends came up with the idea of senior care services. We contacted them. Whenever we went for the job, it was the caregivers who used to take care of my dad's health. They had played a very important role in making my dad an active person. Now he started exercising. He is perfectly alright now. I don't know how to express my thanks towards the Lord. I strongly believe that it was all because of the prayers we got him back. Thanks to Lord Almighty for showering your joyful blessings.
