To all who see these words, may the peace of God be with you;

Prayers for the Support and Protection of Families

Let us pray for the protection of families. Heavenly Father, You made us male and female so that through the sacrament of matrimony a man and a woman may join as loving partners to form a family and care for their offspring by which a new generation is formed. We pray You will guide hearts to nurture and protect the bonds of love which enable strong and caring families so that Your will may be done. We ask this through our Lord Jesus Christ, Your Son, who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, one God forever and ever. Amen.

Dear Lord, we pray You will enable the hearts of parents as they care for their children.

Dear Lord, we pray You will enable the hearts of children as they are called to care for their parents.

Dear Lord, we pray You will guide parents in how they may teach their children of Your ways.

Dear Lord, we pray for Your grace upon all families to enable the bonds of love within.

Dear Lord, we pray You will enable and keep strong the love between husband and wife so that what You have joined together shall not be separated.

Dear Lord, we lift up our hearts in thanks and praise for the angels You send to help protect our soul.

Dear Lord, we pray You will guide the leaders of our day to provide a positive and safe environment in which families may thrive and share the blessings of love.

For these and the prayers in the hearts of all the faithful, we pray in the name of Your Son, our Lord and Savior, Amen.

Let us pray that as we travel our daily journey, we will recognize the call of our Lord to what He asks of us in support of families. Heavenly Father, we pray You will enable parents to love and care for their children. We pray You will guide mothers and fathers in what they should teach their children. We also pray You will guide parents in the ways they may prepare their children to help accomplish Your will. We ask this through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
