To all who see these words, may the peace of God be with you;

Prayers He Will Quench the Thirst of Our Soul

Let us pray our thirst may be quenched by the font of His mercy. Heavenly Father, we have grumbled before You and too often lift up our will before we offer ourselves to accomplish Yours. We lift up our hearts in sorrow for such iniquity and pray for your forgiveness so we may be cleansed and refreshed by the water offered to us by Your Holy Son. We ask this through our Lord Jesus Christ, Your Son, who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, one God forever and ever. Amen.

Dear Lord, we pray You will not look upon our arrogance and selfishness, but the sorrow in our hearts for the ways we have failed You.

Dear Lord, we lift up our hearts in thanks and praise for the blessings of Your great mercy.

Dear Lord, we pray You will remove from us our selfishness and arrogance so these obstacles, which inhibit our actions of love and charity, may be removed.

Dear Lord, we lift up our hearts in thanks and praise for the font of mercy which gushed forth from the heart of Your only begotten Son for our salvation.

Dear Lord, we pray You will help us understand the water You desire for us to drink.

Dear Lord, we pray You will guide us in how we may bring others to receive Your life giving water.

Dear Lord, we pray You will help every heart to share the joy of Your eternal water.

For these and the prayers in the hearts of all the faithful, we pray in the name of Your Son, our Lord and Savior, Amen.

Let us pray that as we travel our daily journey, we shall share of the drink of God's life giving water. Heavenly Father, You have sent to us Your eternal water, but the choice remains before us as to whether we shall drink. We pray You will help every heart to comprehend the blessings of the water which comes to us only through the Sacred Heart of Your only begotten Son. We ask this through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
