To all who see these words, may the peace of God be with you;

Prayers We May Hear the Voice of Our Shepherd

Let us pray we shall hear the voice of our Shepherd. Heavenly Father, as we survey the world, there are so many wolves in the clothing of sheep and traps to ensnare us. As we seek Your Holy Light, dark clouds of deceit loom before us, the fog of deception swirls around us, we stumble over what we are unable to see and we are tempted to follow illusions. We pray dear Lord, that You will take us by the hand, protect us from all deceit, and lead us through the storm so we may safely come to receive the blessing of Your love. We ask this through our Lord Jesus Christ, Your Son, who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, one God forever and ever. Amen.

Dear Lord, we lift up our hearts in sorrow for the ways we have failed you.

Dear Lord, we pray You will lead us away from the ravages of corruption.

Dear Lord, we pray You will help us clearly see the path You desire for us walk.

Dear Lord, grant us the patience of observation and discernment so we do not rush in false directions.

Dear Lord, we lift up our hearts in thanks and praise for the love which You teach us.

Dear Lord, we pray in thanks for the good shepherds You send to lead us to Your eternal green pasture.

Dear Lord, we pray You will help us see through the deceptions with which the evil one endeavors to surround us as a means to distract us and separate us from You.

For these and the prayers in the hearts of all the faithful, we pray in the name of Your Son, our Lord and Savior, Amen.

Let us pray that as we travel our daily journey, we shall hear the voice of our Lord. Heavenly Father, in the darkness and in the storm, we struggle to find our way, for we are unable to see the landmarks of Your Holy Truth. We pray, dear Lord, that You will continue to call to us, so our hearts might hear and we shall be enabled to follow the righteous path. We ask this through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
