In our prayers, do we seek to manipulate God? Do we pray for only our purpose? Are we selfish in what we ask of our Lord and Savior?
Jesus told us that if two or more should gather together and pray in His name, our prayers would be answered, but do we pray responsibly?
Do we pray for what will comfort us at the moment, or do we pray for peace, the salvation of our souls, or the salvation of others? Do we pray for what will satisfy our desires, or do we pray for His will to be done?
Dear Lord, please help me to understand Your will and the true wisdom of prayer. Guide me so that I may be closer to you and your eternal light.
