Weakness and Hope

We are filled with many weaknesses. We are subject to many temptations. Though we may fail in the moment, the hour, the day; He is still there for us.

The time we spend with sin is empty. It is Satan's means to rob us of the fullness of Gods' work. We must seek the joy of the Holy Spirit that we may banish the emptiness of sin. We must seek the hand of the Lord to guide us away from our weakness.

The temptation of sin is deceiving. As we face sin's emptiness, we can only feel shame. We feel shame in our weakness. We feel shame in our failure to follow the Lord. We feel shame in what we have wasted or the hurt we have caused. As we face the Lord, we cannot hope but to be depressed in what we have done and what we have failed to do.

And so, the Lord suffered and died for what causes us emptiness and what causes us shame. He suffered in sacrifice that we may be forgiven.

In each day, there is a new dawn, a new chance and the constant promise of His forgiveness. In each new day we must seek His hand, His spirit to guide us away from the snares of Satan.

Dear Lord, I am tired of my weakness and my sin. I am tired of what it causes me to waste and who it causes me to hurt.

Dear Lord, lead me from sin and into the fullness of Your works.

Dear Lord, fill me with the Holy Spirit that I may resist my weakness, that I may avoid Satan's snares.

Dear Lord, guide me in Your light, in Your will; guide me in what I should do with the time and gifts you have given me.

Dear Lord, grant me the wisdom to recognize Your will and what I may do to fulfill Your commandments.
