Thus says the Lord : Keep your judgment, and do justice: for my salvation is near to come, and my justice to be revealed. Blessed is the man that does this, and the son of man that shall lay hold on this: that keeps the sabbath from profaning it, that keeps his hands from doing any evil. And let not the son of the stranger, that adheres to the Lord, speak, saying: The Lord will divide and separate me from his people. And let not the eunuch say: Behold I am a dry tree.

For thus says the Lord to the eunuchs, They that shall keep my sabbaths, and shall choose the things that please me, and shall hold fast my covenant: I will give to them in my house, and within my walls, a place, and a name better than sons and daughters: I will give them an everlasting name which shall never perish. And the children of the stranger that adhere to the Lord, to worship him, and to love his name, to be his servants: every one that keeps the sabbath from profaning it, and that holds fast my covenant: I will bring them into my holy mount, and will make them joyful in my house of prayer: their holocausts, and their victims shall please me upon my altar: for my house shall be called the house of prayer, for all nations.
(Isaiah 56:1-7)

For I say to you, Gentiles: as long indeed as I am the apostle of the Gentiles, I will honor my ministry, if, by any means, I may provoke to emulation them who are my flesh, and may save some of them. For if the loss of them be the reconciliation of the world, what shall the receiving of them be, but life from the dead?

For the gifts and the calling of God are without repentance. For as you also in times past did not believe God, but now have obtained mercy, through their unbelief; so these also now have not believed, for your mercy, that they also may obtain mercy. For God hath concluded all in unbelief, that he may have mercy on all.
(Romans 11:13-15, 29-32)

And Jesus went from there, and retired into the coasts of Tyre and Sidon. And behold a woman of Canaan who came out of those coasts, crying out, said to him: Have mercy on me, O Lord, you son of David: my daughter is grievously troubled by the devil. Jesus answered her not a word. And his disciples came and besought him, saying: Send her away, for she cries after us: And Jesus answering, said: I was not sent but to the sheep that are lost of the house of Israel. But she came and adored him, saying: Lord, help me. Jesus answering, said: It is not good to take the bread of the children, and to cast it to the dogs. But she said: Yea, Lord; for the dogs also eat of the crumbs that fall from the table of their masters. Then Jesus answering, said to her: O woman, great is thy faith: be it done to you as you will: and her daughter was cured from that hour. (Matthew 15:21-2Cool

It has been forever thus that the Lord holds in His heart love for us and all His children. Our identity in this world comes from many things, our family name, the schools we attend, where we live, where we work, the favorite team for which we root, our vocation, the clubs we join, the car we drive, the political party we support, the church we attend or the religion we choose. As we walk the earth, because of how we identify ourselves, we place ourselves in relation to many rivalries and conflicts. Some play out in the form of good spirited competition, some in humor; but others play out in the form of violence, some with deadly consequences for multitudes.

How is it that we are all children of God, yet, we have fallen to such conflicts? How is it that the children of God face the prospect of violence should we walk in the wrong neighborhood, the wrong part of town, wear the wrong clothes or profess the wrong faith. How is it that the children of God have generated so many excuses to direct violence against one another? What does anyone gain by inflicting pain and misery, for what it breeds is death?

The righteous must stand in defense against the onslaught of evil, but they must also protect themselves from being overwhelmed by evil themselves. As we raise the sword in defense, it is easy to be consumed with the conflict such that evil finds its way into our hearts where the true struggle persists for our soul. What good do we gain if we win the battles of the world, but lose the war for our soul? It is the intent of the evil one to use selfishness to fuel violence and violence to fuel hate so that as hate fills our heart, we are consumed in evil and we no longer find room for love.

Let us not deceive ourselves that we may have love for one and hate for another, for as long as hate is allowed to enter into us, we place our soul in peril. Hate, when allowed to fester, infects our heart and turns our soul to darkness. In prayer, we must ask for the shield of the love of God to save us from the darkness fueled by the temptation of judging those who are not like ourselves.

As we point at the unfaithful, the unbeliever, the worshiper of false gods, those who would persecute us; let us not fall into the trap of pointing with hate and violence in our heart, rather, let us pray in compassion that their hearts will be converted to love. Yea, the Lord knows all His children and invites all to His covenant. It is not ours to judge, but to encourage; encourage not through coercion or derision, but by example of the heart which lives through the grace, peace and love of the Lord.

Blessed are those who learn the Word of the Lord and keep His commandments, for they will learn the true power of living with love. They will learn the blessings of living in love of God and one another as He loves us. All nations are called to this covenant; in prayer we should ask that all nations will respond.

The Lord seeks the salvation of all His children and never turns from that desire. To each of us He calls, even in our times of doubt, sending to us His angels, His prophets, His priests, His ministers; through all who serve Him, He has sent the message of His mercy, the message of His forgiveness and the covenant of His everlasting love. Though many turn in unbelief, He continues to work through the believers so that all may believe and all may be saved.

From whence did the house of the Israel come if it did not come through the linage of Adam? The children of God were birthed through His first creation, therefore, we are all of the same lineage. How is it, then, that we fall to division, that we do not see within ourselves that which binds all of us together, our Creator, the one who seeks that not one of His sheep might be lost.

Blessed are the ministers of the Lord, for in their ministry, they shine the light of God. The ministries are many that we may do. No one can do all by themselves, but what we do in service of the Lord is a blessing. As we join together in the ministry of the Lord, the divisions of the world shall fall away.

We find conflicts in our differences, yet, we must remember He invites all His children to His table. It is not ours to drag those who do not believe to a seat for which they have no interest, for there is no invitation in coercion. God has extended His invitation through His believers and sends each one to evangelize to those who do not believe. For as we invite, He invites. As we are an example of love, we are spreading His example.

Blessed are those who follow Him in faith, for though a nation may be chosen, it is still the choice of each child as to the way they shall turn. Our position in this world will not be the one of the next, for He has told us the first will be last and the last shall be first. Blessed are those who wait in faith, for while their blessing in this time may be the scraps which fall from the table, they will find a much greater blessing in the banquet which awaits them at the table of the Lord.

May the peace and blessings of the Lord be with you always,
Prayer Soldier
