To all who all who see these words, greetings:

Prayers In Thanks for the Son

Let us pray in thanks for the child sent to us to raise us up. Heavenly Father, You blessed the eyes of Simeon and Anna to see what they knew within their heart was their savior. Though that moment has passed, we pray that all might see that the child presented in Your temple is now beside You and beside our hearts, so that we may be brought to Your kingdom. We ask this through our Lord Jesus Christ, Your Son, who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, one God for ever and ever. Amen.

Dear Lord, the prophets spoke of You; we pray that all may hear and understand of what the prophets have spoken.

Dear Lord, we pray that You refine our hearts so that we may always know the purity of Your love.

Dear Lord, we pray You accept our thanks and praise that You chose to walk among us so that we might follow You to Your kingdom.

Dear Lord, we pray for the day the evil One shall have no power over our soul and we may eternally join in the blessings of Your glory.

Dear Lord, when Your only begotten Son was presented at the temple, He was presented to the generations; we pray all may understand and rejoice in this day.

Dear Lord, we pray that what was revealed to those who held You as a human child shall be revealed also to our hearts.

Dear Lord, we pray that with each day, we learn to live according to the wisdom of Your Word.

For these and the prayers in the hearts of all the faithful, we pray in the name of Your Son, our Lord and Savior, Amen.

Let us pray that as we walk each day, we will recognize how He surrounds us. Heavenly Father, so much is in Your creation and so much is beyond our understanding. We pray that all may know the joy of Simeon and Anna as they first saw the presence of Your only begotten Son and that such joy may remain with us each day. We pray You help us see Your face and where we may use our hands to bring blessings in Your name. We pray You reveal to our hearts how we may share forever in the eternal truth and light of Your Word. We ask this through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
