Prayers We May Be Delivered from Presumptive Wisdom

Let us pray in thanks for the wisdom He seeks to reveal to us. Heavenly Father, we pray in humility for greater understanding of the glory of Your creation. We pray every heart may see and every soul may feel the glorious power and blessings of Your Word. We ask this through our Lord Jesus Christ, Your Son, who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, one God for ever and ever. Amen.

Dear Lord, we pray for the day the faithful may be delivered from threat of persecution.

Dear Lord, we pray in humble thanks for the many ways You seek to guide us.

Dear Lord, where we are weak to sin, help us to find the path away from it and the path to You.

Dear Lord, we pray in thanks and praise that You grant to the faithful the power no army may conquer.

Dear Lord, we pray that You reveal to our hearts the wisdom of Your truth.

Dear Lord, we pray You guide us away from the path of presumptive wisdom to the light of Your truth.

Dear Lord, we pray You guide us to the eternal blessing of Your holy kingdom.

For these and the prayers in the hearts of all the faithful, we pray in the name of Your Son, our Lord and Savior, Amen.

Let us pray that as we walk our daily lives, we do not fall to the temptations of presumptive wisdom. Heavenly Father, the vastness of Your creation is beyond our comprehension. We pray in thanks and humble praise that You offer to us each day the opportunity to learn of Your Word. We pray that when we become haughty and wise in our own eyes, You will patiently guide us to Your truth. We ask this through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
