To all who see these words, may the peace of God be with you;

Prayers for the Blessings of Humility

Let us pray that our spirit is not set upon the riches of the world, but upon the wealth of the Word of the Lord. Heavenly Father, You have raised up the meek, the humble and those who keep and follow Your commandments. We pray You will guide our hearts to see the wealth You offer which is beyond all the wealth of the world. We ask this through our Lord Jesus Christ, Your Son, who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, one God forever and ever. Amen.

Dear Lord, we lift up our hearts in thanks and praise for the blessings You pour out upon the humble.

Dear Lord, we pray You will guide us in how we may turn away from the temptations of the world.

Dear Lord, we pray You will help us see how we may make a difference for the blessings of others.

Dear Lord, we pray for the protection of the meek and lowly.

Dear Lord, we pray hearts shall turn away from a culture of death and towards a culture of life.

Dear Lord, we pray all may see the value of a humble heart.

Dear Lord, grant us the courage, wisdom and strength by which we may stand strong in the face of those who will persecute us for our faith.

For these and the prayers in the hearts of all the faithful, we pray in the name of Your Son, our Lord and Savior, Amen.

Let us pray that as we travel our daily journey, we shall learn the blessings of humility. Heavenly Father, the world entices us to pursue ways of hubris, haughtiness, and selfish ambition. We pray You will help us to turn our hearts away from these destructive pursuits such that we may instead share among ourselves the blessings of selfless love. We ask this through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
