A Time Between Heaven and Hell

Is it possible to imagine a time where evil does not befall us? This is perhaps our view of heaven – a time and space where we may know God's Love and peace. A place where we are not confronted by Satan.

And so, what is the purpose of our existence in this world? Perhaps, it is to prepare us for the next. Perhaps it is to show us the wages of sin and the power of God's Love. Perhaps it is to see what we choose for ourselves and for our soul. Only God knows the true purpose as to why He brought us into this existence. What is important is that we understand the messages He has sent as to our hope for what is to come.

We think we know what we can see, touch, and feel. But there is so much more beyond our physical experience. In many cases, it is what we think our senses reveal that is the illusion. It is the confusion of the illusion upon which Satan relies.

Our faith is based upon many things we do not find revealed through our senses. God has given gifts in various forms through which He reveals Himself to us. The question is, do we choose to experience these revelations, do we choose to believe them, do we choose to understand them?

In this existence, we see and experience evil all around us. We each have been the victim of evil in some form. We each have sinned through acts of evil by what we have done and what we have failed to do. Can we imagine if the world only consisted of evil? We see examples of pain and suffering each day – can we imagine the consequences if evil was left unbridled?

In this existence, God asks that we love Him above all else and that we love one another. We each have been the benefactors of love, goodness, and kindness in some form. We each have extended our goodness to others by our acts and our words. Can we imagine if the world only consisted of love and peace? We see examples every day of the joy and happiness that is created by the kindness and good works of others. Can we imagine what would be possible if we existed continuously in the peace and joy of God's Love?

Perhaps it is the experience of this world that will help us understand our choice between heaven and hell.
