Simple Prayers of Prayer Soldier â€“ Vol 36 (Light and Vision

Prayer-Soldier

Though we may stand in the light, we may not always see. What we believe with our eyes is not always what we should believe with our soul. What we can see in this world is only for this time, but what we see with our soul is possible for eternity. Our soul may be blinded by what we perceive in this world, for the lives which we lead are not found in only what we see under the sun, but what we see with the help of the Holy Spirit.

Let our eyes not deceive us, but may our souls be exposed to the true light, the light of the Lord. Our Savior has illuminated the way through the Word. Through prayer, we may ask that we are guided by the Holy Spirit so that we may remain forever in the light and do not fall to the temptations which lead only to the darkness.

Dear Lord, we pray that as You look into our hearts that you will wash away that which displeases You and fill it with Your wisdom and love.

Dear Lord, we offer thanks and praise for the light you bring into our world.

Dear Lord, we pray that we are never blinded to Your light.

Dear Lord, we pray that if we are faced with a challenge in this world that we bear it in your name and seek to understand the greater good which may come.

Dear Lord, as we observe that which is about us, help us to see the wonders of Your creation.

Dear Lord, we pray that we are not blinded by the deceptions of the evil one.

Dear Lord, as You beckon to us, may we respond to Your call.

In the name of Jesus we pray. Amen.

Then Jesus said, â€œI came into this world for judgment, so that those who do not see might see, and those who do see might become blind.â€ Some of the Pharisees who were with him heard this and said to him, â€œSurely we are not also blind, are we?â€ Jesus said to them, â€œIf you were blind, you would have no sin; but now you are saying, â€œWe see,â€ so your sin remains. (John 9:39-41)
