To all who see these words, may the peace of God be with you;

Prayers In Anticipation of the Coming of the Lord

Let us pray in anticipation of the coming of our Lord. Heavenly Father, because You so loved the world, You sent Your only begotten Son for the salvation of the children of Your creation. We pray every ear shall hear and every heart shall be drawn to His Sacred Heart. We ask this through our Lord Jesus Christ, Your Son, who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, one God forever and ever. Amen.

Dear Lord, we lift up our hearts in thanks and praise for sending Your Spirit upon us.

Dear Lord, we pray You will wash away the anger which creeps into hearts and bring peace to all souls.

Dear Lord, we pray You will guide us in how we may encourage one another to share the love to which You call us.

Dear Lord, we lift up our hearts in thanks and praise for the wisdom of Your Holy Word.

Dear Lord, we pray You will help every heart see the blessings of approaching one another with humility, civility, dignity, and respect.

Dear Lord, we look to the day, with anticipation in our hearts, for when peace shall be brought to the children of Your creation.

Dear Lord, we pray every heart shall hear and heed the voice You raised up in the wilderness, which calls all to make way for the coming of our Lord.

For these and the prayers in the hearts of all the faithful, we pray in the name of Your Son, our Lord and Savior, Amen.

Let us pray that as we travel our daily journey, we shall hear His voice. Heavenly Father, You placed the voice in the wilderness which called all to prepare the way for the coming of Your Holy Son. We pray every ear shall hear, across the generations, so all may prepare for the day He comes to gather in all who believe in and love Him. We ask this through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
