There are those who would say, “Live for today, for tomorrow may never come.” The message is to seek every pleasure now, for the preparations for tomorrow may only be wasted time. But what if you have squandered all your resource and tomorrow does come?
We make decisions daily about what we do with our time. We spend time on tasks to earn money, to develop our career, to go to school, to expand our learning. We spend time caring for our health, our clothes, our home, our very sustenance. We spend time on our pleasure, on our family, on our community, on many things of this world. To exist in this world, we must address that which surrounds us, but what about the world to come? What time do we spend preparing for the life after this?
There are those who would say, “There is no eternal life, so living as if there was a chance to be accepted in heaven is wasted time. Live for today, for your days are already numbered.
Yes, that is one fact we know, our days in this world are numbered. The one certainty is that we will pass from this world. We do not know the time, we do not know the hour, but the time will come when our existence in this world will end. And what will be the result if we have lived as if there is no heaven?
