Simple Prayers of Prayer Soldier for Fathers

Many blessings to all,

Our holiday for fathers is approaching and it is a time for us to reflect on the role God has given fathers in the world. We are advised, --Husbands, love your wives, and avoid any bitterness toward them. Children, obey your parents in everything, for this is pleasing to the Lord. Fathers, do not provoke your children, so they may not become discouraged.-- Colossians 3:19-21

In these three versus we see fathers are called to love and guide their families. The family begins from the love between a man and a woman. It grows through the blessing of offspring and the love children give their parents. Through the instruction of parents, children are prepared so they may grow and continue the generations of life.

We see in the family that fathers are called to partner with their wives to ensure the raising of their children. Blessed are the fathers that understand their role is based in love. Blessed are families with fathers who will guide them in the way of the Lord.

We also see the relationship of the family in Ephesians, --Children, obey your parents (in the Lord), for this is right. -- Honor your father and mother. -- This is the first commandment with a promise, --that it may go well with you and that you may have a long life on earth.-- Fathers, do not provoke your children to anger, but bring them up with the training and instruction of the Lord.-- Ephesians 6:1-4

On this day for fathers, let us pray that our fathers are blessed with the strength and help of the Lord to face the challenges in providing for their families. Let us pray that fathers are guided to join with their wives in raising their children in the light of the Word and love of God. Blessed is the father who trusts in the Lord and raises his children in love. It is also a good time to say a prayer for all fathers that they may be guided by the Lord in fulfillment of the responsibilities God has bestowed upon them. Remember also a prayer for our Father in heaven in thanks for our salvation.

--As a father has compassion on his children, so the LORD has compassion on the faithful.-- Psalms 103:13

Will you say these simple prayers for fathers with me?

A simple prayer: Dear Lord, grant the fathers of our families the strength and courage to fulfill the vocation to which You have called them.

A simple prayer: Dear Lord, help the fathers of our families to partner with their spouses to lead their family in the light of Your love.

A simple prayer: Dear Lord, help the fathers of our families to partner with their spouses to raise their children in the light of Your Word.

A simple prayer: Dear Lord, may the children of the fathers of our families understand the sacrifices which must be made to build a family.

A simple prayer: Dear Lord, help our fathers balance their responsibilities in what they must do to provide for their families and what they do to provide love for their families.

A simple prayer: Dear Lord, help our fathers to be men of great stature, justice, integrity with the true strength of Your love.

A simple prayer: Dear Lord, when the fathers of our families make mistakes, help them to learn and recover to be a positive example to others.

A simple prayer: Dear Lord, bless our fathers with loving families.
