Prayer-Soldier

Many blessings to all,

As we view the world, we see divisions among nations and the peoples within nations. We see religion pitted against religion. What could be a world of peace is marred by the ever present divisions of man. Should we be surprised that we do not find peace when so many fail to follow the commandments of our Lord to love one another? If we are to find peace in our day, it does not start, though, with what we expect from others, but what others may expect from us. The light of the world is exposed only as we expose it by how we live and how we care for one another.

Dear Lord, we pray that divisions amongst men are healed so that peace becomes the way of the world.

Dear Lord, we pray for the wisdom, strength and courage to be the light which will draw Your children from the darkness and onto the path to Your kingdom.

Dear Lord, we pray for those who are persecuted in Your name; may they receive the comfort of Your love.

Dear Lord, we pray for the innocents who have lost their lives at the hands of violence and conflict; may they find comfort in Your loving embrace.

Dear Lord, we pray for those who strive to bring charity to others; may they be granted the resources they need to care for the less fortunate.

Dear Lord, we pray for our leaders, that they are guided from the temptations of the evil one and drawn to providing for the responsible care of Your children.

Dear Lord, we offer our thanks and praise for Your forgiveness when we fail to follow Your message to love; when we stumble, help us to overcome our weakness and turn away from that which leads us to sin.

In the name of Jesus we pray. Amen.
