Blessings to all,

But to the penitent he provides a way back, he encourages those who are losing hope! Return to the LORD and give up sin, pray to him and make your offenses few. Turn again to the Most High and away from sin. (Sirach 17:19-21)

For those who tread in the ways of the world and against the ways of God, He still reaches out in love. He desires not to lose any of His children to the netherworld, but the choice remains with each of them to the very last. Though His children may stray, He beacons for each one to return to Him. He waits patiently for them to learn the lessons of life, that they may turn form the pain of the void which exists when one turns away from the love of the Lord.

How great the mercy of the LORD, his forgiveness of those who return to him! (Sirach 17:24)

He hopes, only as the eternal Father can, that His children will find their way to Him where He waits with eternal mercy. We are His creation; His love for us is boundless. His commandments for us are not commandments to hate or to do violence, but commandments of love, commandments such that we are able to live with one another without the misery and harm driven by sin.

They were exceedingly astonished and said among themselves, â€œThen who can be saved?â€ Jesus looked at them and said, â€œFor human beings it is impossible, but not for God. All things are possible for God.â€ (Mark 10:26-27)

Who has not sinned? Who does not need the mercy of God? Who does not need the forgiveness of the Lord? If we could not be forgiven for our sins, there would be no hope for any of us to enter the kingdom of heaven. Left to our own and in our weakness to sin, there would be no hope without the mercy of the Father. Blessed are we that what is impossible for us is not impossible for our Lord.
