For thus says the Lord God: Behold I myself will seek my sheep, and will visit them. As the shepherd visits his flock in the day when he shall be in the midst of his sheep that were scattered, so will I visit my sheep, and will deliver them out of all the places where they have been scattered in the cloudy and dark day. I will feed my sheep: and I will cause them to lie down, says the Lord God. I will seek that which was lost: and that which was driven away, I will bring again: and I will bind up that which was broken, and I will strengthen that which was weak, and that which was fat and strong I will preserve: and I will feed them in judgment. And as for you, O my flocks, thus says the Lord God: Behold I judge between cattle and cattle, of rams and of he goats. (Ezekiel 34:11-12, 15-17)
But now Christ is risen from the dead, the first fruits of them that sleep: For by a man came death, and by a man the resurrection of the dead. And as in Adam all die, so also in Christ all shall be made alive. But every one in his own order: the first fruits Christ, then they that are of Christ, who have believed in his coming. After wards the end, when he shall have delivered up the kingdom to God and the Father, when he shall have brought to naught all principality, and power, and virtue. For he must reign, until he has put all his enemies under his feet. And the enemy death shall be destroyed last: For he has put all things under his feet. And whereas he says, All things are put under him; undoubtedly, he is excepted, who put all things under him. And when all things shall be subdued unto him, then the Son also himself shall be subject unto him that put all things under him, that God may be all in all. ( 1 Corinthians 15:20-28 )
And when the Son of man shall come in his majesty, and all the angels with him, then shall he sit upon the seat of his majesty. And all nations shall be gathered together before him, and he shall separate them one from another, as the shepherd separates the sheep from the goats: And he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on his left.
Then shall the king say to them that shall be on his right hand: Come, you blessed of my Father, possess you the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world. For I was hungry, and you gave me to eat; I was thirsty, and you gave me to drink; I was a stranger, and you took me in: Naked, and you covered me: sick, and you visited me: I was in prison, and you came to me. Then shall the just answer him, saying: Lord, when did we see you hungry, and fed you; thirsty, and gave you drink? And when did we see you a stranger, and took you in? or naked, and covered you? Or when did we see you sick or in prison, and came to you? And the king answering, shall say to them: Amen I say to you, as long as you did it to one of these my least brethren, you did it to me.
Then he shall say to them also that shall be on his left hand: Depart from me, you cursed, into everlasting fire which was prepared for the devil and his angels. For I was hungry, and you gave me not to eat: I was thirsty, and you gave me not to drink. I was a stranger, and you took me not in: naked, and you covered me not: sick and in prison, and you did not visit me. Then they also shall answer him, saying: Lord, when did we see you hungry, or thirsty, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not minister to you? Then he shall answer them, saying: Amen I say to you, as long as you did it not to one of these least, neither did you do it to me. And these shall go into everlasting punishment: but the just, into life everlasting. (Matthew 25:31-46)
Though we may stray into the darkness, He seeks to find us, He seeks to bring us back to the light, to the safety of His flock. We are weak in the face of evil, but if we seek His hand, He will give us strength.
We may fall ill in many ways; infirmity is not found just in the body, but may also be found in the soul. Fear not the infirmity of the body, for it will pass away. Care for what is in the soul, for if it falls to the darkness, it will die. The infirmities of the soul open the doors to evil. As evil consumes us, life is drawn out of us. As it fills us, it creates a void of love and peace; in that void is only found misery and eternal despair; a pain of eternal agony.
Blessed is the one who hears the call of the Lord and responds to His call, for it is the voice of the Lord which guides us to His light; a place where evil is not allowed, a place where His grace and mercy will deliver us to His peace, love and eternal blessing. There will be many, diseased with evil, who will seek to lead us astray, but if we listen carefully for His voice, we will be led away from false paths.
We have but one true king; the Son of God, the savior of all mankind. His ways are simple to follow, but it is our weakness which allows us to be lured to the cold and darkness. How is it we can watch the ways of evil and fail to understand the destruction and death it brings? How is it we can watch the results of greed, the wages of selfishness and believe that should be the way of our life?
There are those who seek to do the work of the evil one and lead us into the darkness. It should be easy for us to see them, but if we are blind to the Word, we are also blind to the darkness. He calls us to be holy in all ways, but the evil one only seeks the foothold of one fault.
It is no wonder the evil one seeks first to corrupt those who lead, for if a leader is led astray, so too are all who follow. Careful we must be of who we choose to follow, for if they do not seek the light of the Lord, they will be distracted by the paths to darkness. If they should stumble to those paths, where will we find ourselves?
If our leaders are as flawed as we; then who should we trust, who will help us find the way? We cannot simply go in our own directions for we only make ourselves vulnerable to the traps and snares of the evil one laid before us. In the safety of numbers we may find our way, but only if we find ourselves in the right numbers, traveling the right way, led by leaders who also seek the light of the Lord.
Is it so hard for us to see who to follow and from whom to steer away? The leader who walks the ways of corruption, greed and oppression will surely guide us to the abyss. The leader who walks the ways of love of God and love of the children of the creation of God will help us find the way.
Care we should take, for as we are led, so shall we lead. We should make note that God has granted different measures of the gift of leadership to all His children; as we follow, so shall others follow us. Some will lead is small ways. Some will lead small groups, but everyone is led and everyone is called to lead so that the flock may remain in safety.
There will be times when we are in need and times where we may provide for those in need. Blessed are those who care for the children of the creation of God, for as they do, they fulfill His will. We do not always know for whom we care, but the eyes in which we look are always the eyes of the creation of God.
May the peace and blessings of the Lord be with you always,
Prayer Soldier

I agree with you - life can be so difficult, but with Christ on our side every step of the way, it is more than possible to live one full of happiness - We just need to put our faith in Him and walk forward. Have a great one!
