The Power No Army May Conquer
Scripture:
Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Sion, shout for joy, O daughter of Jerusalem: BEHOLD THY KING will come to you, the just and savior: he is poor, and riding upon an ass, and upon a colt, the foal of an ass. And I will destroy the chariot out of Ephraim, and the horse out of Jerusalem, and the bow for war shall be broken: and he shall speak peace to the Gentiles, and his power shall be from sea to sea, and from the rivers even to the end of the earth. (Zechariah 9:9-10)
But you are not in the flesh, but the spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.
And if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you; he that raised up Jesus Christ, from the dead shall quicken also your mortal bodies, because of his Spirit that dwells in you. Therefore, brethren, we are debtors, not to the flesh to live according to the flesh. For if you live according to the flesh, you shall die: but if by the Spirit you mortify the deeds of the flesh, you shall live. (Romans 8:9, 11-13)
At that time Jesus answered and said: I confess to you, O Father, Lord of Heaven and earth, because you have hid these things from the wise and prudent, and have revealed them to little ones. Yea, Father: for so has it seemed good in your sight. All things are delivered to me by my Father. And no one knows the Son but the Father: neither does any one know the Father, but the Son, and he to whom it shall please the Son to reveal him. Come to me all you that labor and are burdened, and I will refresh you. Take up my yoke upon you, and learn of me, because I am meek, and humble of heart: And you shall find rest to your souls. For my yoke is sweet and my burden light. (Matthew 8:25-30)
Reflection:
Many mistakenly believe that force is a means of resolution. Though horse and chariot may determine who is the victor upon the battlefield of the world, the heart cannot be conquered by spear or arrow. The Heavenly Father did not send His only begotten Son to save the world with the power of legions, but with a power much greater; the power of His Word. Many fail to comprehend He commands what no army may conquer. Though military might may consume cities and control nations, nothing may compare to the power through which the Holy Spirit guides the heart.
The day is coming where His prophesy will be understood. The day is coming where evil shall have no place. The day is coming where all the children of His creation shall have their eyes opened from which to see His blessings. The day is coming where all His people shall hear and comprehend His Word. In that time, the love He seeks for all to share will guide every heart. No army will be able to stand in its path. No temptation of evil shall be able to divert the faithful from their course. Through prayer, all shall receive from the power of the Holy Spirit so the evil one may no longer raise the temptations which consume the soul. Through prayer, He will hear the cry of the faithful and He will deliver them to the safety of His eternal kingdom.
It is the power of the world to deprive the flesh of life, but the soul filled with His Spirit is not vulnerable to what may consumed by the world. He allowed Himself to be placed upon the cross so the faithful may see the power of the One who conquers even death. On the third day, He rose in fulfillment of the scripture so that all may see only He commands the power of eternity. It is evil which brings death, but it is His love which brings eternal life. All who believe in Him shall find this path, but all who turn from Him shall only find the darkness.
Each day we are presented with this message, we have the choice to heed or ignore it. Each day, we may lead our lives as if our existence is only of this world. Blessed are those who hear and believe His Word, for they shall find the path which extends beyond the earth to the blessings of His kingdom.
Those who are wise in their own eyes fail to see. They are myopic, for what they observe is only what they comprehend of the world. He is the creator of all which is seen and unseen; therefore, those who seek understanding only from the world are deceived.
The presumptuously wise stand to extol, but only reveal what they do not know. It is well beyond the ability of the children of His creation to know and comprehend all He has formed. The more they study, the more they reveal how much must be learned. The faithful understand that each day is an opportunity from which to learn. The faithful comprehend that He is the greatest teacher, but if we do not seek Him, we cannot learn from Him. Through prayer, He will reveal wisdom within our hearts. The evil one will seek to confuse us and confound us, but if we ask Him to open our eyes, He will not deny us. Blessed is the one who seeks to learn from Him, for the wisdom which is elusive to the world shall be revealed to the hearts of the faithful.
May the peace and blessings of the Lord be with you always,
Prayer Soldier
