Responding to His Call
Many blessings to all,
He gave us free will such that it would be our choice whether to follow in the ways of the Lord or to seek our own designs. Those who seek their own ways become prey for the evil one. The snares are set for us in the form of addictions, greed and envy which lead to conflicts, misery and violence amongst peoples.
He calls us away from the snares. He calls us to walk in His ways. He calls us to follow the commandments of love. Through prayer we may respond to that call. Through prayer, we may seek to know Him. Through prayer we may seek to bring Him into our heart so that the evil one finds no foot hold within us. Through prayer, we may seek to learn how to live as He calls us to live so that all may enjoy the blessings of the Lord.
Dear Lord, we pray to hear Your voice, so that we may respond to Your call.
Dear Lord, we pray for Your light, that it may fill our heart and guide us to Your holy plan.
Dear Lord, we pray that You send the Holy Spirit to fill our hearts so that we are immersed in Your love.
Dear Lord, we pray that you guide us in what we do so that others will desire to follow in Your path.
Dear Lord, we pray that You protect us from the temptations which cause us to act in ways which may drive others from Your path.
Dear Lord, we pray that You guide us in selfless service of our family, friends, and those less fortunate than ourselves.
Dear Lord, grant us the wisdom and strength to lead our lives so that we use the talents You give us for Your purpose and for the benefit of Your children.
In the name of Jesus we pray. Amen.
Bear your share of hardship for the gospel with the strength that comes from God. He saved us and called us to a holy life, not according to our works but according to his own design and the grace bestowed on us in Christ Jesus before time began, but now made manifest through the appearance of our savior Christ Jesus, who destroyed death and brought life and immortality to light through the gospel. (2 Timothy 1:8-10)
May the Lord be with you always,
Prayer Soldier
