Many blessings to all,

Leaders can lead people to great things or they can lead them to ruin. The Bible tells us of many leaders, some who did the will of God, others who sought only to serve their own ego or fortunes. Many lives are impacted by the decisions of leaders of religious communities, academics, business, military, politics and celebrity. We must have leaders, for without them, we have much which will never be focused; and so, God has given us those who have been given the gift of leadership. As with any gift or talent God gives, those who receive it have the freewill as to how it is used, though He calls each of us to a destiny for which He created us. We should not be surprised if the evil one seeks to tempt leaders into deception and to mislead people into behaviors of destruction.

Regardless of our power to hold our leaders accountable for what they do and what they fail to do, there is One who can hold all leaders accountable for what they do with their gift of leadership. He hears the pleas of His children, He hears the cries of the poor, He hears those who are oppressed, He hears those who question where they are led; through prayer, He hears our every need.

We must remember, our leaders are vulnerable, just as we, to the deceptions and temptations of the evil one. We must remember to thank God for the leaders who care for us and serve His will. We must also ask God for the protection of our leaders so that we are not lead astray.

A simple prayer: Dear Lord, we thank You for the leaders who lead with justice, inspiration and compassion according to Your Word.

A simple prayer: Dear Lord, we thank You for the leaders You have granted us who lead with honesty and integrity.

A simple prayer: Dear Lord, we thank you for the leaders You have granted us who lead us to great things in Your name.

A simple prayer: Dear Lord, we pray for the protection of our leaders so that they are not tempted by the deceptions of the evil one.

A simple prayer: Dear Lord, we pray that You guide the leaders of our religious communities to lead Your flock in the truth of Your word.

A simple prayer: Dear Lord, we ask that You lead our academic leaders so that they help us learn about Your creation and do not mislead us with incomplete and faulty logic.

A simple prayer: Dear Lord, we pray that You guide our business leaders to conduct our commerce with honesty, integrity and fairness.

A simple prayer: Dear Lord, we pray that You guide our military leaders to defend our freedom and achieve a just outcome of the conflicts in which they must engage.

A simple prayer: Dear Lord, we pray that You guide our politicians to lead for the true good of the people.

In the name of Jesus we pray, Amen.

â€œWhoever causes one of these little ones who believe in me to sin, it would be better for him to have a great millstone hung around his neck and to be drowned in the depths of the sea. Woe to the world because of things that cause sin! Such things must come, but woe to the one through whom they come!â€ (Matthew 18:6-7)
