We can now look back and say, how could we not have known, for we were told, “For over all, the glory of the LORD will be shelter and protection: shade from the parching heat of day, refuge and cover from storm and rain.” (Isahia 4:6) Many may see these words in terms of this world, but it is not until we understand the sacrifice made for us that we truly understand the glory, shelter and protection of the Lord; for it is through the sacrifice of Jesus that we are invited to the kingdom of heaven where there will be no parching of the heat of day or where we need refuge from the storm and rain.
The blessings offered to us are wondrous, for though we have not always walked in the ways of the Lord, we are forgiven and are offered a place in heaven if we believe in the Son of Man. Still, we should periodically pray, reflect and ask ourselves, what does belief in the Son of Man really mean? Does it mean that we need only say that we believe or does it mean that we should work to live what we believe? What is the depth of our belief if we do not act in that belief?
May the Lord be with you always,
Prayer Soldier
