God Is Behind Those Who Respond to His Call:

God said to Moses, Now indeed the outcry of the Israelites has reached me, and I have seen how the Egyptians are oppressing them. Now, go! I am sending you to Pharaoh to bring my people, the Israelites, out of Egypt. But Moses said to God, "Who am I that I should go to Pharaoh and bring the Israelites out of Egypt" God answered: I will be with you; and this will be your sign that I have sent you. When you have brought the people out of Egypt, you will serve God at this mountain. (Exodus 3:9-12)

We are often tempted to give a similar answer as that of Moses, ?Who am I to bring His Word to anyone?? The answer is simple, God is behind those who respond to His Call. He did not create us so that we may remain silent within the darkness and simply endure the evil imposed upon us. It is the objective of the evil one that the faithful render themselves powerless by sapping their confidence in their capabilities while encouraging the emissaries of incivility, oppression and hate.

God does not always call us to do battle with kings and tyrants, but He often calls us to encourage the hearts of others. As we do, we may rescue a heart from the darkness and leave one less soul to the snares of evil. As one heart is turned, so may that heart turn another. The more we engage others with His love, the more we bring to His light. With each soul who follows Christ, there is one less who wanders in the darkness.

In prayer, we must listen for Him and to what He calls us. As we go about our daily activities, we must look for where He nudges us. As we feel and see Him working within our lives, we must ask ourselves, are we ready to do His work? Are we confident He is behind us?

Blessed are those who respond to His call, for heaven will rejoice at their works.
