To all who see these words, may the peace of God be with you;

Prayers We Are Prepared for the Coming of the Lord

Let us pray we will not be distracted at the hour of His coming. Heavenly Father, You sent Your Holy Son so we may learn the blessings of Your truth and to encourage us to prepare for the day of salvation. We pray You will guide every heart so we may avoid the snares set by the evil one for the ruin or our souls. We ask this through our Lord Jesus Christ, Your Son, who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, one God forever and ever. Amen.

Dear Lord, we pray that we may learn the blessings of Your ways so that we may walk in Your paths.

Dear Lord, guide us in how we may turn hearts of darkness to hearts of light.

Dear Lord, we pray You will help us turn away from the desires of that which shall return to dust and enable us to tend to that which nourishes the soul.

Dear Lord, we pray You will help us put on the armor of Your light.

Dear Lord, we pray You will guide the leaders of nations so they will enable the world to turn away from the misery of darkness and towards the blessings of Your light.

Dear Lord, grant us the endurance by which we may remain vigilant for the day of Your return.

Dear Lord, we pray You will guide us in how we may teach and encourage our children so they may share in the blessings of faith, not only for their blessings, but for the blessings of generations to come.

For these and the prayers in the hearts of all the faithful, we pray in the name of Your Son, our Lord and Savior, Amen.

Let us pray that as we travel our daily journey, we shall remain prepared for the day of His coming. Heavenly Father, the evil one seeks constantly to lure us away from the blessings of Your Word. We pray You will open the eyes of our soul so that we will not stumble and so we will remain vigilant and prepared for the hour Your Son returns to gather in Your faithful. We ask this through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
