To all who see these words, may the peace of God be with you;

Prayers for Our Spiritual Shepherds

Let us pray for the shepherds God sends forth to feed His flock with His Holy Word. Heavenly Father, You sent Your Son to form the first shepherds sent to spread the news of the new covenant. We pray they may be granted the wisdom, courage, and strength to fulfill the mission to which You called them and for which You ordained them. We ask this through our Lord Jesus Christ, Your Son, who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, one God for ever and ever. Amen.

Dear Lord, we pray for Your protection of the shepherds You ordain and send forth to bring us the blessings of Your Word.

Dear Lord, we pray You will protect us from false shepherds so we are not led astray from Your pasture.

Dear Lord, we pray in thanks and praise for the Word You send to the children of Your creation, both near and far.

Dear Lord, we pray we may forever receive the blessing of Your love and peace.

Dear Lord, we pray in thanks and praise for Your compassion for our souls.

Dear Lord, we pray in thanks and praise for those You send forth to establish the glory of Your church.

Dear Lord, we pray You will raise up for us many shepherds to guide Your flock in all which is right and just.

For these and the prayers in the hearts of all the faithful, we pray in the name of Your Son, our Lord and Savior, Amen.

Let us pray that as we travel our daily journey, we will be guided in how we may assist the shepherds of His flock. Heavenly Father, we pray in thanks for those You send forth so we may learn the blessings of Your Word and receive the food and drink of eternal life. As we learn, guide us in how we may help Your shepherds bring back and care for the wandering sheep. We ask this through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
