To all who see these words, may the peace of God be with you;

Prayers We May Survive the Times of Great Distress

Let us pray that Christ will be the Champion to defend our soul. Heavenly Father, though we are not worthy, You sent Your only begotten Son for the salvation of the world. We lift up our hearts in thanks and praise for Your love and mercy. We pray for Your protection from the evil which lies in wait to consume us. We ask this through our Lord Jesus Christ, Your Son, who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, one God forever and ever. Amen.

Dear Lord, we lift up our hearts in thanks and praise for the angels You send to protect us.

Dear Lord, we pray for the protection of the shepherds who lead us to the blessings of Your Holy Word.

Dear Lord, we lift up our hearts in thanks and praise for the One You sent so we may obtain forgiveness for our sins.

Dear Lord, we pray You will defend us in the battle over our soul.

Dear Lord, we pray You will help the world see the urgency by which we must act if we are to turn back the evil of our days.

Dear Lord, we pray You will help the world see the wolves which walk among us in the clothing of sheep.

Dear Lord, we pray You will guide us away from the darkness so we may walk in the warmth of Your light.

For these and the prayers in the hearts of all the faithful, we pray in the name of Your Son, our Lord and Savior, Amen.

Let us pray that as we travel our daily journey, we will not be overtaken by the advancing darkness. Heavenly Father, You held against the church of Thyatira that they tolerated the evil which teaches in opposition to Your ways. We pray You will raise up for us leaders who will do what is right and just and who will lead the people in all which is right and just so we may defend against the evil which is upon us. We ask this through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
