One Body in Christ:

Paul wrote to the Ephesians, "I, then, a prisoner for the Lord, urge you to live in a manner worthy of the call you have received, with all humility and gentleness, with patience, bearing with one another through love, striving to preserve the unity of the spirit through the bond of peace: one body and one Spirit, as you were also called to the one hope of your call; one Lord, one faith, one baptism; one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all." (Ephesians 4:1-6)

Our Lord and Savior calls us to love one another, yet, as we look at the world, we see conflict and violence spurred by the hate which finds root and dwells in so many hearts. Perhaps we might understand what is done by those who walk in the darkness, but even among those who profess belief in the Son of God, hearts are black and cold towards one another. We might ask, how do the simple words, ?love one another as I have loved you,? (John 13:34-35) become so ignored and so trampled?

Our hope is in His promise that the gates of the netherworld shall not prevail against His church (Matthew 16:1 Cool

. This promise means that the divisions among His people shall be healed and that they will become unified within the body of Christ. Through the Holy Spirit, the blindness caused by hate will be removed. The blessings of His love will be spread by His faithful. As each heart is opened to His light, the people will come together as one body with one Spirit. They shall remember His commandments to love and His promise shall be fulfilled on earth as it is in heaven.

Blessed are those who follow His commandments to love, for as they share, so shall they receive.
