To all who see these words, may the peace of God be with you;

Prayers We Will Hear the Call to Our Purpose

Let us pray in thanks and praise for the coming of our Lord. Heavenly Father, You sent John the Baptist to herald the way for Your only begotten Son. Help us to join with his voice to call the hearts of the world to the blessings and joy of repentance from sin. We ask this through our Lord Jesus Christ, Your Son, who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, one God forever and ever. Amen.

Dear Lord, we pray for Your Holy Spirit to fill us.

Dear Lord, we pray You will help us see our opportunities to share with one another the blessings of Your love.

Dear Lord, help us see the ways we may turn from our desires so that we may engage in the purpose for which You created us.

Dear Lord, we lift up our hearts in thanks and praise for the blessings You bring.

Dear Lord, help us to share the blessings of all which is good and turn away the darkness of evil.

Dear Lord, help us to see the tasks You have for us and grant us the wisdom, courage, and strength by which we may accomplish them.

Dear Lord, help us to find those with whom we may join to help bring forth the blessings of all which is right and just in Your eyes.

For these and the prayers in the hearts of all the faithful, we pray in the name of Your Son, our Lord and Savior, Amen.

Let us pray that as we travel our daily journey, we will hear the voice which calls to us to turn to the Lord. Heavenly Father, You have blessed us in many ways, yet, we continue to fail in our thoughts, in our words, and in our deeds. We pray You will clean the eyes of our hearts so we may turn away from our sin and clearly see Your path of light and love. We ask this through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
